MANSIN: PRESS

IG : Where are you from?
MANSIN : Denver, Co Born In Killeen, TX

IG : How does hip-hop culture influence your work ?
MANSIN : My work comes from influences from this world we
live in. The hip-hop culture itself has made my work

IG : What else inspires your work ?
MANSIN: Things I see happening around the world.

IG : How would you describe your style ?
MANSIN : My style is like R. Kelly in comparison he has two sides
to his music Inspirational and Hood that's what I put out.

IG : What do you think of the Colorado hip-hop scene ?
MANSIN : The Colorado hip-hop scene is poppin, we have many
talented rappers from Colorado. The problem is we have no
support system out here as well as other city's do across the
country.

IG : What was it that made you decide you wanted to rap ?
MANSIN : When I was about 11 years old I started memorizing
rap lyrics from various artist and knew this would be something
I'd like to do.

IG : Who inspired you to do what you do best ?
MANSIN : Rappers that came before me have always gave me my
inspiration to do what I do and that's making good music.

IG : Name a few of your favorite rappers.
MANSIN: Brotha Lynch Hung, E-40, Busta Rhymes, Ice Cube,
2-Pac, Scarface, Ludacris, Lil Wayne, The Game, Young Jeezy

IG : If you weren't doing music right now what would you be
doing ?
MANSIN: I'd be an entrepreneur owning my own restaurants and
small businesses.

IG : What are some of you future goals ?
MANSIN : To be successful in life and help the less fortunate. I
would love to sell millions of records, but if not as long as I'm
able to take care of my family then I'm happy.

IG : What would you consider to be your biggest
accomplishment musically ?
MANSIN : My progression as an artist. I use to be one sided on
what I considered to be good music. I now listen to every style
of rap music out there. So that's how I got my versatility.

IG : What can we expect from you ?
MANSIN : Nothin but the best that's what I know how to do.
Keep looking for more cd's to drop and hopefully I can get a
record deal so I can finally eat right.

IG : What do you think it takes for a rapper to be successful
today ?
MANSIN : 1. A record company that believes in you/Promotion.
2. Dedication. 3. Fans!

IG : Do you have any issues with the current state of hip hop in
general ?
MANSIN : The only problem I have is that some people are just
listening to one sound of music and that's not fair. The reason
being is that rappers come from all across the United States
from different backgrounds, up bringing's, nationalities,
neighborhood's, and many more....... So we have something
different to learn from so many different extraordinary people.

IG : Anything you want to say to the haters ?
MANSIN : I love U!!!!!

IG : What was one of the first songs you ever recorded ?
MANSIN : It was "Unspeakable" the first song on my first cd
"Murderous" released in 2000.

IG : What is airplay like in Colorado ?
MANSIN : There's really no airplay for local rap artist out here
that's one of the disadvantage's.

IG : What is the support system like in Colorado ?
MANSIN : The support system out here is weak we have no real
movement out here.

IG: What needs to change ?
MANSIN : More local rappers need to come together to blow up
Colorado.

IG : What do you think Colorado artists need to do to better
themselves ?
MANSIN : What I know is that a lot of rappers out here be hatin
on each other that's the problem right there. If everybody is
hatin on everybody then how will we ever establish ourselves
in Hip Hop.

IG : What are the pros and cons of being in a group ?
MANSIN : To many minds that don't think alike.

IG : So how did you become a solo artist ?
MANSIN : I've always been a solo artist that's how I started.

IG : What are the pros and cons of being a solo artist ?
MANSIN : Pros/ Creative freedom. Cons/ Having to do
everything yourself.

IG : What gives you the inspiration or motivation to write ?
MANSIN : I love to rap it makes me feel good inside. Rappers in
the game that I feel are very talented give me inspiration to
write. All I do is listen to all the top rappers songs and try to
come up with something lyrically better. That's what pushes me
when I hear tight shit from other rappers I try to do better than
what they achieved.

IG : What do you think we as in Black People need to do in order
to better ourselves ?
MANSIN : Embrace God as your savoir. Once you do that then
there will be no hatred or evil in one's heart therefore making
your family stronger to deal with what this world throws at you.
Black men wouldn't be out here killing up each other or
committing crimes against people therefore again making better
and safer communities.

IG : So, for those not too familiar with you, who is Murder
Mansin ?
MANSIN : Created in Killeen, TX raised in D-Town/Denver,Co
from the age of 3. I started entering in talent shows by my
MOMS and AUNT using break dancin as da talent. So you know I
was destin for stardom from the gates!! I started rappin lyrics
back and forth with my little bro when I was in middle school as
a hobbie to memorize lyrics. Attending High School at George
Washington in the 9th grade was when I realized my callin in life
was to be a Rapper. I Had a cousin that was the same age as me
and he rapped also. The two of us started having rap battles
with the homies in High School. My cousin Halvin came up with
the Murder name because I was into the killer style of rappin
like Brother Lynch Hung. The Mansin aspect I came up with
which was by the Infamous Charles Manson but I wanted it to be
original as Man Sins so Mansin comes natural just like Charles
therefore we came up with Murder Mansin. I grew up listening
to various rap artist such as Brotha Lynch Hung, E-40, X-Raided,
Ice Cube, LL Cool J, Scarface, N.W.A., 2 Live Crew and Slick Rick.

Two years after I was suppose to graduate from High School I
got my G.E.D and decided to start my own independent Record
Company called "Twissted Records". I hit the streets with my
first single titled "Murderous" in 2000 which started a local buzz
in Denver, Co. I continued and dropped my first solo cd titled
"Psychoanalysis" in 2001, and then in 2002 with a cd titled "And
There Was Murder". In 2004 I released my second cd titled "200
Dead People" and I produced various artist under my Record
Label. In 2004 I went to Texas,St Louis, and Chicago to promote
my music. I released my third cd titled "OCTOPUS" which
dropped in August of 2005. Also that year I went back out of
town to promote my cd in Texas and Atlanta. My fourth cd titled
"UNDERRATED" dropped summer of 2007,that year I attended
the Texas Summer Music Conference in Dallas,TX to network
with other rap artist across the United States. During the years
2004-2007 I dropped four mixtapes titled "Jackin 4 Beats". I have
performed at numerous Clubs and Nightspots throughout
Colorado since the year 2000.

IG : Do You have a certain type of swagger about you ?
MANSIN : Not really I'm just Me and I do just that Me. I be myself I
dont put on shows or an act. So My swag is ME.

IG : If you ruled the world, what would be different about it ?
MANSIN : I would rule it as God would rule it. So you would see
totally different world than the one we live in.

IG : Is there any advice you would like to give teens in risk of
being locked up ?
MANSIN : Do something better with your life you only get 1 life 2
live so why waste it sitting behind bars rotting awaaaaaaay.
There's so much in life to learn about why sit in prison learning
it from a jail cell.

IG : Do you think you will ever lose your passion for rapping ?
MANSIN : I'll never lose my passion to rap it's a gift that I have.
But if my passion cant pay the bills I have to do something else
that will. But the passion would always still be there.

IG : As far as the history of Hip-Hop, how important is it for
you to know your history of Hip-Hop ?
MANSIN : It's very important how do you commit yourself to
something and know nothing about the history of where it came
from, how it started and the pioneers that came before you
whom paved the way for you.

IG : Last but not least, are there any shoutouts you want to give
or things you would like to say to your fans ?
MANSIN : My moms who has always supported me and everyone
else out there that has ever believed in Murder Mansin bought
my cd's attended my shows and have shown support from day 1
Thank You all.
