Allmighty Kay Gee introduces Hip Hop album “9 years and Counting” in stores this fall

New York, New York (PRWEB) September 5, 2009 — Created in Killeen, TX raised in D-Town Denver, Colorado, at the age of 3, Mansin has shown just how talented he really is. Mansin first started in local talent shows and entertaining his family showing off his break dancing skills. From there he was destined for stardom from the gate!! Mansin started rapping lyrics back and forth with his little brother when he was in middle school, as a hobby to memorize lyrics. While attending George Washington high school, it was in the 9th grade when he realized his calling in life was to be a rapper. Mansin’s began rapping with cousin and the two started rap battles with the other rappers in High School. He grew up listening to East, and West coast music.

 

Two years later, Mansin received his G.E.D and decided to start his own independent record company, “Twissted Records”. He hit the streets with his first single titled “Murderous” in 2000 which started a local buzz in Denver, Colorado. He continued and dropped his first solo CD titled “Psychoanalysis” in 2001, and then in 2002 with a CD titled “And There Was Murder”. In 2004, he released his second CD titled “200 Dead People” and produced various artists under his record label.

 

In 2004. Mansin went to Texas, St Louis, and Chicago to promote his music. It was there, he released his third CD, titled “OCTOPUS” which dropped in August of 2005. That year he also went began promotion of his CD in Texas and Atlanta. The fourth CD titled, “UNDERRATED” dropped summer of 2007, that year Mansin attended the Texas Summer Music Conference in Dallas, Texas, to network with other rap artist across the United States.

 

Between 2004-2007, he dropped four mix tapes titled “Jackin 4 Beats”. In 2008, Mansin put out 2 group album CDs “Murder Crack” and “Business Men”. Mansin attended and performed at The Atlantis Music Conference in Atlanta, Ga. Mansin also put out his 5th solo CD titled, “The Murder Mansin Stories” in 2008. Mansin has been featured in the “Fushion Magazine” and “The UndaStream Magazine. Mansin has been actively performing at Clubs and Nightspots throughout Colorado since the year 2000. Mansins’ lyrics are considered surpassed that of many professional rappers. Mansins’ visually animated vocals coincided with fast-paced dexterous metaphors and unique hardcore analogies attributed him into a league of his own.

Hailing from the Bronx, Kay Gee Supernova™ was first introduced to what is known today as Hip Hop, in 1971 when he witnessed a DJ Smokey party where he first saw b-boys, graffiti writers and D Jing. Still in third grade, Kay Gee Supernova™ couldn’t afford equipment to be a DJ and his parents would kill him if they caught him writing graffiti. His only option at that point was to break dance. Kay Gee Supernova™ learned to break dance from the original “Mr Freeze” and “Crip.” Kay Gee Supernova™ learned to rap in 1974 after he heard GrandMaster Flash and the Furious 3’s. During this time Kay Gee Supernova™ became a member of the all Jamaican “Cheeba Crew.” While with the Cheeba Crew, he learned to emcee and DJ simultaneously. He met DJ Charlie Chase in 1978 at an emcee convention and in 1979, after practice, became a part of the Cold Crush Brothers.


Highlights in Kay Gee Supernova™’s career were going to Japan in 1982 on the Wild Style Tour. They were also the first group signed to CBS Records, through the Tuff City label. Kay Gee Supernova™ influenced Chuck D, who he considers a “powerful emcee” as well as Kool Keith, who Kay Gee Supernova™ met in the third grade. He has collaborated with such artists as C&C Music Factory, KRS-1, Funk Master Flex, Doug E Fresh and more. Kay Gee Supernova™ has produced “Flesh not Bone” on the Spooks first album and wrote a score for the HBO movie “Disapeering Acts.”


Kay Gee Supernova™ has also performed with the Cold Crush Brothers at the grand opening of the “Experience Music Project” in Seattle. The Cold Crush Brothers are also on exhibit within the museum as one of the groups that contributed significantly to Hip Hop history. They also brought down the house, along with LL Cool J during the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the museum’s “Hip-Hop Nation: Roots, Thyme and Rage” exhibit when it opened at the Brooklyn Museum of art.


Kay Gee Supernova’s™ new projects are “The Voices of Hip Hop” which focuses on reaching the youth and donating proceeds to charitable causes. The project educates the youth on issues including Aids, police brutality, teen pregnancy, youth in prison, among others. He has a compilation album titled “Super Nova Proclamation 1” with artists featured such as KRS-1, Kool Keith, Cold Crush Brothers and Super Natural as well as his solo album titled, “The Big Bang Theory.”

ALLMIGHTY ENTERTAINMENT, Is the production company owned and operated by Hip Hop pioneer Kay Gee of the legendary group The Cold Crush Brothers. ALLMIGHTY ENTERTAINMENT produces music for recording artists worldwide, as well as writing songs and composing new music for movies, commercials, and more. The company was founded in 2000 and has produced music for Funk Master Flex, KRS-One, Chuck D, and Dougie Fresh.
